What is interesting is the brief communication about the innovative approach. From time to time, journals cover topical topics or special conferences that concentrate on specific fields.</p> <p>This journal managed by <strong>Faculty of Engineering, University of Lampung</strong> and published by the <strong>University of Lampung</strong>. JTII is published periodically (two times a year) in April, and October. JTII is available for free (open access) to all readers.</p> <p>JTII accepts manuscripts from and is not limited to all industrial engineering fields (mechanical, electrical, industrial, civil and environment, chemical and industrial, information technology, geophysics, geodesy, etc.), architecture, applied science (agrotechnology, biomedical, applied physics, applied chemistry, materials, computer, biotechnology, etc.), and other multidisciplinary research.</p> <p>JTII also carries a <strong>Comments and Criticism</strong> section, which provides a forum for expressing different viewpoints, comments, clarification, and correction of misunderstandings regarding topics in published papers. <p>Kecamatan Palas, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, merupakan daerah yang rentan terhadap banjir akibat faktor topografi, kondisi hidrologi, serta aktivitas manusia yang mempengaruhi tata guna lahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kerawanan banjir serta merumuskan strategi mitigasi bencana yang efektif dalam mengurangi risiko bencana. Metode yang digunakan mencakup analisis spasial menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG), kajian hidrologi, serta wawancara dengan masyarakat setempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wilayah dengan kemiringan lahan rendah, dekat dengan aliran sungai, serta memiliki <em>drainase</em> yang buruk cenderung lebih rawan terhadap banjir. Selain itu, perubahan penggunaan lahan yang tidak terkendali, seperti alih fungsi lahan hijau menjadi permukiman dan lahan pertanian intensif, turut meningkatkan risiko banjir. Strategi mitigasi yang direkomendasikan meliputi perbaikan sistem drainase, rehabilitasi daerah resapan air, peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat melalui edukasi kebencanaan, serta penerapan kebijakan tata ruang yang lebih berkelanjutan.</p>
